Back to the music. San Francisco’s premiere indie rock music festival kicks off. I’m actually hoping to attend three shows there: John Vanderslice, Roky Erickson, and The Ponys.

I won’t pay to see anything by or affiliated with someone called Vanderslice. Seriously, what kind of bullshit Dutch surname is that? No, honestly, his music is boring in the way Kevin Federline is obnoxious: “Who is this guy, why is he here, and what suddenly smells like gonorrhea poon?” I think maybe they should do a project together that fuses honky bling with hipster blahpop: Federslice.
