Lying Liars and the Lies They Lie About

Hey guys, I’m not voting for the old dude or the crazy lady.  And these mailers just make me donate more money to Obama, you’d probably be better off not sending them to me.

If on Nov. 5 you’re not elected (PLEASE let this be the case).  Have fun looking at your legacy.  Obama’s been pretty straight up and classy during this deal and you’ve been doing this kind of bullshit.  I’d been trying to avoid putting politics out there that much but this kind of stuff is crap.

Another, equally ridiculous mailer in full post … (more…)

Get Your Freaky $1 Coin Away From Me

GW Get’s His Coin BackJust as I was starting to get used to those sexy Sacajawea $1 coins the US government ups and decides that what we really need are $1 coins with pictures of a crazy looking George Washington on them (see picture at right).

Now, I’m all for things with stuff on them whether their coins or cans of soda or billboards. But one has to wonder what the point of these $1 coins are if they refuse to remove the $1 bill? I mean, I hate cash money as much as the next guy but I hate coins even more.

The truth is though that I want this effort to be successful because it’ll save the US government some money (and hopefully via some eventual trickle down, us). Plus, maybe if we get rid of paper $1 bills, the $2 bill will get the attention it so rightly deserves.

[UPDATE]

I was looking for more articles about these wonderful new coins (that perhaps we’ll see advertised on TV like that sweet WTC one) when I came across this article about them. Perhaps most interesting though was that the article was written by B. Brandon Barker the author of Operation Emu. Judging by mdhatter’s comment, I am starting to think this is not a coincidence.

I Need Your Opinion

Ok, I just saw this joke circling the internet and I thought that I was duty-bound to repost it.

Q: How does Bush feel about Roe vs. Wade?

A: He doesn’t really care how you get out of New Orleans.

I don’t really know if this joke is distasteful but I certainly enjoyed it.

If you’ve got a problem with it, please let me know in the comments.

To answer my question, no it’s not offensive. Why? Because it’s even been posted on CNN now.
